Welcoming New Patients

Welcome to our warm and friendly family practice. You’ll feel like a member of the family from the moment you walk through our front door. We’ll take the time to get to know you and your past dental experiences and current needs and concerns.

Your First Visit

Please bring in a list of any medications you are currently taking and insurance information. Let us know if you have any allergies. If you are coming to see us from another practice, we ask that you bring in X-rays if they were taken. Here’s what you can expect next:

  • Tour of the office
  • Consultation with Dr Kang
  • Thorough medical and dental history
  • General exam
  • X-rays, if necessary
  • We then will come up with a treatment plan. You will be informed about how many appointments may be required to complete your treatment.
  • If no specific treatment is needed, we will come up with a recall schedule that may be once or twice a year. This first appointment takes about an hour.

Keeping the Conversation Flowing

If you’ve been on the receiving end of a monologue at other practices, know that this is never the case at Trillium Dentistry.

Here, communication is a two-way street. We will ask lots of open-ended questions so that we keep the conversation flowing. We always strive to be informative about oral health care and want to give you ample time to ensure that your concerns are addressed with us. Please read our office policies to get a better understanding our practice.

Direct Billing To Insurance

At Trillium Dentistry, we want to make every part of your experience as pleasant as possible. That’s why we provide direct billing service, so our patients don’t have to deal with the hassle of filing insurance claims. We will collect, directly from your insurance company, the portion of your treatment that is covered by your insurance plan. Every insurance plan has differing levels of coverage, we may not be able to verify precise coverage levels for different services. Though we will endeavour to provide an estimate of your insurance coverage, knowing your plan’s coverage is ultimately your responsibility. If you don’t have a dental plan, we’re happy to discuss whether your care is suitable for a payment plan.

Respecting Your Time

We know that you have better things to do than wait for a long time at the dentist’s office. That’s why we always try to run on time. If for some reason, we are running behind, we will call you and let you know.

Same Day Appointments

Let us help you have a healthier smile. Emergency patients will also receive an itemized treatment plan. Same-day dentistry is available to get you out of pain temporarily until you can schedule a more permanent procedure. After palliative treatment, we’ll want to have you return for a comprehensive new patient experience to make sure nothing else is going on.

Please take a moment prior to your scheduled appointment to download our patient form. We ask that you complete and bring them with you to your appointment so we may better assist you in a timely manner. Thank you for your confidence in our office, we look forward to assisting you with all your dental needs.
